Programming the Zapper for Discrete Mode

1. Plug the Zapper into AC ("wall") power.

2. Verify that the Zapper receiver head is plugged into the Zapper body.

3. Select the two buttons from your IR remote that you want the Zapper to recognize, one for turning the Zapper on, the     other for turning the Zapper off. ( For the remaining steps below, the first IR remote button will be referred to as “button     1”, the second button as “button 2”, and your IR remote as “the remote.“)

4. Press and hold the button on the receiver head for a few seconds until the LED lights green, then release the button.

5. While aiming the IR remote at the Zapper receiver head, press and hold button 1 until the green LED turns off, then     release the IR remote button.

6. After a short moment, the LED will re-light green. Repeat step 5 three more times.

After the above steps are completed, the LED will blink green, then remain on. This indicates
that the Zapper has learned the IR code for button 1, and is now ready to learn the IR code for button 2.
The steps for programming button 2 are identical to button 1, specifically:

7. While aiming the IR remote at the Zapper receiver head, press and hold button 1 until the green LED turns off, then     release the IR remote button.

8. After a short moment, the LED will re-light green. Repeat step 7 three more times.

After the above steps are completed, the LED will pulse several times then go turn off. This indicates that
programming is complete.

The Zapper is now ready for normal use.
